What Are They?

Last week I picked up this little set for $2.
When I asked the lady the price, she said,
"Do you even know what they are?"

I told her what I thought.......
and turned out to be right!
She told me I was the first person all day
who knew what they were for.

How about you?  Can you guess?

NO PEEKING

I hope you came back!

Here is what they are for.

Were you correct?
I knew you would know!

Aren't they pretty for a buffet?
And only $2!

Thanks for stopping by,

Ellie

  1. I'm not sure I would have guessed - but I am definitely not that high class. But I LOVED the thinking music - it made me giggle :)

  2. I love those! They would be great to display mismatched vintage silver pieces too.

  4. Initially I thought for napkins - so no I didn't guess right but I would love to find a set of these at a garage sale. I recently found a full 12 place setting of ornate silver plated cutlery hiding inside a plastic bag at a garage sale. They deserve to be on display on a buffet not hidden away in a drawer! Have been looking out for my church pew at a auction centre that used to have lots of pews, no luck but found a set of 4 cedar windows in perfect condition with leadlights - they are fully opaque rather than coloured so 2 will be used in our bathroom.

  5. I got a text from my sister that just said, "Toast"! I thought, "What????!!!" Thinking perhaps she was supposed to have sent this to her husband or something. No! She was reading my blog and that was her guess. Crazy girl.

  9. Hi Ellie, I thought they were for holding toast. Wrong!!! What a beautiful way to display your silverware, especially for some special occasion. I found and am now following you through Show And Tell Friday, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
