Nursery Reveal For My Little Fleur

I've been a little distracted from other projects lately.......

Because I've been working on something
that has captured my heart.

The nursery for my first grandbaby!

We are almost finished.
Want to see?

Yes, my little fleur is to be called
Paisley Ann.

If you should look at my Baby Girl's wedding pics
(see some here),
you will see she loves hot pink and brown.
This hasn't changed much in
2  1/2 years.

I sewed the bumper pads,
including the piping and the ruffle on top,

and this bedskirt to match the curtains.

Baby Girl made all of these
beautiful basket liners, as well as pillows,
ties and picture mattes.

We had a wonderful time being
mom and daughter working together
to welcome our next generation.

Paisley girl, we are greatly
anticipating your arrival!

Thanks for sharing this
very special time
with us.

  3. Beautiful job, Ellie! I love those fabrics and the crib looks just so beautiful! I know what you are talking about ~ I just finished my granddaughter's room in their new house. She is 20 months old. It took me a little longer than I wanted it to, but I finally finished it {actually, it's my link up for Open House Party, where I'm visiting from}.

  6. Good Morning,

I was browsing the internet when I can across the room you helped create for your new grandbaby Paisley Ann. It is absolutely stunning (along with a lot of the other things from your blog). I know you don't know me but I was wondering if I could ask a favor. My husband and I are expecting our first child in January. Last week we found out it was a girl and we couldn't be more excited! Now it's time to get to work on the nursery :). I love paisley patterns but have yet to find one that has everything I'm looking for....until now. I fell in love with the paisley fabric you used for your granddaughter's crib. It would be perfect for our little country girl's nursery.

I completely understand if you don't want to share your source but if your willing I would love to know where you got that particular fabric. If you would let me know one way or another by e-mail it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ~Nicole (nicoled86@cox.net)

    1. Hi Nicole. I would be most happy to share my source, but my daughter actually purchased the fabric from an on-line fabric source. The problem: I think she purchased all they had. I can tell you it is a Vera Bradley pattern, although I don't think they can advertise it that way except to say that it is designer. We had to use it sparingly because that was all we could find. I hope you are able to find some. Wish I could help more.

  7. Thank you so much for your time and I will keep looking to see if I can find that style or something like it. Your daughter did a great job finding that gem on the internet. I am also curious as to what type of material it is (jersey, fleece, cotton. etc.), I am new to this aspect of sewing and I'm not sure which style would be best for the crib bumper. Thank you and congrats again on your precious grand daughter!

    1. Oh, Nicole, I almost forgot - many congratulations on your new baby girl!!! There is just nothing like a little girl. I'm enjoying my grandbaby so much....you should see all the bows. BTW, my daughter will probably write to you soon to tell you exactly where she bought the fabric, but again I don't think they will have any. Also, it is cotton and fairly lightweight.
